Death Penalty Walking
The death penalty debate is not a new issue in the United States. It can be argued the death penalty is a “cruel and unusual punishment” making it an unconstitutional sentence to carry out. Others may say the bible states the death penalty is an acceptable punishment “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” However, the death is not a question of morality, but rather efficiency and economics. It has become increasingly clear the death penalty is not worth its high costs. Due to these high costs and the inefficiency of modern court systems, the death penalty is becoming an inferior form of punishment compared to life imprisonment without parole.
