The New American Dream

If you look back seventy years, America was the at its pinnacle on the world stage.  It was truly the land of the free and the home of the free.  The "American Dream" was a happy family with a dog, a car, a nice house, and a white picket fence and that was the thing many if not all Americans strove to have for the longest time.  It was why their families had come to this country, to prosper and live the good life.  Today's view is drastically different, most resident Americans want everything to be given to them, with no drive to earn their own living.  Yet, many Americans are also against many of the immigrants who come to the country and "steal" our jobs while they forget that these immigrants are the next generation in this "new American dream."  They are the ones who are going to work hard to earn the opportunity they believe is still here.
