Social Networking: Impersonal at Best

Over the years social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have become increasing popular between teens and young adults.  Social networking attempts to aid adolescents in their quest to build new friendships and strengthen existing ones.  However, in their attempt to do so social networking destroys more friendships than it creates.  This happens because sites such as Facebook and Twitter form of social interaction are impersonal at best.  Social networking tries to bring the youth closer together but instead it drives the teens further apart.
