Marijuana Legalization
The use and possession of marijuana is currently
illegal in the United States, except in some states where it is legal for
medicinal use only. It is illegal
because people think it is harmful and can lead to other bad behaviors. However, alcohol was at one point prohibited
because of this very same reason and is now legal and abortion is legal under
the notion of privacy laws in the United States giving women the right to do
what they want with their bodies. Privacy
laws of the United States protect the right for a person to freely smoke
marijuana for recreational or medicinal uses.
