A New Art Form

The technological age has conceived a new art form that creates a glimpse of humanity through the summation of individuals. Just like a person, independently an airplane’s jet stream, or a text message seem pale against the backdrop of all the other airplanes and text messages traveling through the world. But, each individual airplane or message compiled with all the other airplanes and text messages suddenly becomes a worthy representation of humanity.
The new art form illustrates each individual contribution of artwork in order to create something greater. Each person only contributed one piece of artwork, so small that the image could not be properly distinguished, only to discover the image of a dollar bill when all the pictures came together. This art form shows that a large group of people can work together to achieve anything without personal differences getting in the way. These visuals indicate world culture rapidly changing every second, and the vast differences humanity contains throughout the entire world can be transferred from person to person progressively through the means of technology. Interface allows cultures to share data and empower society to be better and to better the world.
The steady flow of information can also have negative sides. First, and most often, people forget that the internet is for anyone and everyone. Studies have been shown that if asked on the internet, individuals are more likely to fill out anything asked about them, or of them, without questioning. As shown in the sheep visual, when asked to draw a sheep only one out of 7599 contributions to the study asked “Why? Why are you doing this?” The realization that humanity contributes unknowingly and immediately to something without knowing the reason behind the requirements is frightening, but it is the reason humanity is so efficient in these visuals. Just as the last visual shows, even though each slide in the Johnny Cash video possesses its own creativity and style the overall tone and movement of the pieces are the same. The individual artworks make up the final piece, but more importantly the individuals make up humanity.
