Writing has always (or almost always) been one of the hardest subjects for me. Writing to me consists of spending much time in a quiet room thinking about a book or other piece of rhetoric. I have thought trains that come and go and then others that crash and leave a mess behind. When it comes to sitting down and writing my mind always becomes an unreadable mess. This combined with the fact that I procrastinate on things that I don’t want to do usually turns a thirty minute blog post into a three hour long blog post.
Not only is writing hard, but my writing style varies throughout the papers I type. I write my own way but I am one of those guys that will look at previous examples to get the feel for how I should lay out my next paper. My writing style is dynamic and has changed from teacher to teacher to please them and to earn myself a good grade. My writing style changes with emotions and with whatever thought processes I am going through during that day. I love to sit back and write as long as I have peace and can think. When this occurs my writing demonstrates it.  Most of the time however, I just write the stream of words that comes to my mind and then edit later.
Along with my style of writing comes changes to the type of papers I write. I have written extensive research papers, math papers, persuasive papers, and papers on books. The longest paper that I’ve written was 19 pages full of words that took months to research and write. My average paper length last year was even around 1500 words! On a more positive note, last year I wrote a paper that I actually wanted to write. That was the first time in history that that had happened This paper, about school internet censorship, was one of my best works and was even submitted to my school newspaper.
All in all I believe that I am a well rounded literate man when it comes to writing. I can hate it or love it depending on the mood of the day. My papers might not be the best but when I put my mind to I can create one of the best papers ever.
