The More the Merrier, I think Not

These pieces of art work are able to show how independent individuals can contribute one part to a whole. These same pieces of art may look cool at first glance, but upon further inspection, it just shows how incoherent the pieces look when turned into a whole.  Each part of the final product was open to the interpretation of the person creating it. This made the parts looked very different and it was very busy which takes away from the value and meaning.  Adding the parts also takes away credit from the individual because one is bombarded with information overload; making it impossible to enjoy each part.  This shows that in society today there are many different people with many different ideas.  Also people come from all walks of life so their interpretation of something will be different than another person. Not saying these ideas or results are bad, but combining them just does not make sense.
Technology today allows us to share our ideas in a faster way.  However, since we can find information and others ideas in a faster way, this takes the value away from a new idea and that idea can become lost in the crowd.   The digital age for humanity shows a constant stream of information being shared worldwide.  This means the speed of sharing ideas and information has increased considerably over the past years.  But if one can just “surf” the web for a solution to a problem then they have bypassed the hands on experience to solving a problem.
An interface can be a powerful narrative voice, and it can tell stories.  But what story is it really telling.  It can only focus on the big picture.  With an interface it may show all the smaller stories its harder to see all the stories that make up the big picture.  This means we shut out the individual story and that makes these interfaces seem impersonal because you don’t learn anything about the person creating the part.
