More than just a simple tattoo

I chose this tattoo because it is most likely very meaningful to the person who has the tattoo, but at the same time it could be a little meaningful to those who view it. To the owner the tattoo most likely signifies a place, in this case Lake Wood, that he either grew up at or is a family vacation spot. The tattoo most likely reminds the guy of family and how important it is. By looking at the mobile home, one would infer that it is a trashy place where typically poor people go to. But the fact the man tattooed it on himself gives the feeling that it is much more valuable to the man. In his eyes, it could be the best home he has been in because of what happens there and the meaning behind it. The red background contrasts the blue mobile trailer and gives the effect that the trailer is a good place because it is lighter, and light is generally perceived as good. When viewers see the tattoo, he or she usually thinks of a family vacation spot also and receives the pleasure of naturally reminiscing on past family vacation places that they too go to or used to go to. It is a good feeling and will most likely make the viewer of the tattoo see the owner as a nice, family man. The tattoo communicates to the viewer that the owner of the tattoo is a man who values family so much that he permanently has their vacation spot on his feet. This way, every time he looks down when he is barefoot, he will see this tattoo and be reminded of the things that happened at Lake Wood. This tattoo is one of many others that people get that give the identity of family and what it means to him or her.
