This tree of life tattoo is
a very popular tattoo to get. The tree of life symbolizes the never-ending
circle of life. It is a religious symbol in the bible it is meant to represent
eternal life. This particular tattoo has the sun and the moon on either side of
the tree. One of the other meanings for the tree of life is that there are
opposites in life such as night and day or good and evil. On the tree of life the
top and bottom are reflections of each other.
These elements of life and death make the tree a religious symbol. This symbol is popular today in America but also holds significance from ancient Greece, Indonesia, and many other cultures. But in all cultures it holds a similar meaning of the balance of life. The idea that things will continuously go on in life is a big role in the meaning of this tattoo. This particular tattoo of the tree of life from my perspective is to symbolize the impotence of nature in everyday life and the maintaining balance in ones own life.
