What is interface and how do a bunch of random stories, sounds, or images come together to form a piece of art so vividly expressed and understood? Interface as defined by Aaron Koblin is using a piece of art created by hundreds of different people and using that art to create a story or an image. Each individual has the ability to interpret art differently. This ability is what causes artists to create things that seem "too far out there" or deep and meaningful. With today's technology, artists can create art that people never dreamed of.
Our humanity is moving in a technology based direction. Many tasks are done by computers now. Most graphic art and design is done by a computer. Interface and social colaboration are just starting to surface and have a great future ahead. What Aaron Koblin talked about is what and where humanity is headed towards. The flight patterns at altitudes at every airport help air traffic control towers navigate and ultimately make flying safer. The voice patterns in Amesterdam show how much people talk, when they talk, as well as where they talk. This allows businesses to set up closest to the "hot spots" of where most people communicate. Humanity will be able to thrive in a digital age due in fact to the ability of people being able to adapt so well. Businesses will know when to hold their hours or where to set up at the most effective spot. Each individual visual shows how art is changing. The ability to take different forms of art and make it into a single form of art is crazy. This colaboration allows people to come together and exchange ideas to form a single image. This shows that our culture is moving from a single idea to multiple ideas on one form of art. Each form of art that is talked about my Aaron Koblin is an "experiment". He wanted to find out if people would actually come together to create something great out of nothing. These people came through and created several magnificent works of art. Interface and colaborative stories are beginning a new age in digital media and the future of this art is very bright and humanity will thrive off the production of this new age.
